Whether you have lost a loved one through death, divorce or the ending of a relationship, giving yourself the time to grieve is an important way to take care of yourself. It is part of finding your way though this painful time and eventually discovering a renewed life.

Your life has profoundly altered. Who you were in that relationship and how it felt to be together is forever changed.

You can’t go back to being who you were before your loss. Part of the work of grief and mourning is to bear the uncertainty, the fear, and a whole range of powerful feelings as you undergo this change.

Over time your new life will emerge and you will discover and shape a new identity. This does not mean you must leave your past behind, but find a new way of relating to the loved one you have lost. Gently at your own pace, I will support your grieving.

Some of our work together may include:

  • Acknowledging your loss and what it means to you
  • Helping you cope with powerful and confusing feelings
  • Sharing memories and finding ways to honor your loss
  • Developing a new sense of yourself
  • Finding meaning
  • Growing a network of support
